Bamboo swaying in the gentle breeze

Vicki Sauvage - Saturday, May 29, 2010
Well what a day yesterday! The tigers and the snakes were definitely feeling the pinch. In fact the whole of this month I have had snakes, monkeys and tigers telling me tales of woe - how difficult things have been. Just hang in there guys this too shall pass. Just 8 more days to the change of the Chinese solar month!

Today we have yin earth sitting over rabbit (wood). The rabbit tends to be mostly quiet but if born in 1951, can be very eloquent and overly forthright! As the rabbit is 'underground' in its inclination the rabbit tends to keep things bottled up and or hidden away. The earth is challenged by the rabbit so it is not a harmonious situation.

The rabbit and the tiger in the year make a special formation which inclines to wood. In the hour of the dragon then this inclination is complete. Wood is power in today's formulation. We have both yin and yang power and yin and yang metal (output). Metal successfully challenges wood, particularly without any water to mediate.

Even though water is absent in the chart, the weakest elements are wood, as they are being exhausted by the fire, challenged by earth and metal. This will bring challenges to the gall bladder and the liver meridians. This means Saturday night at the pub / staying in for a quiet drink can mean serious challenges to these systems. The gallbladder governs the wind palace at the back of the neck under the occiput. If you are exposed to wind or a draft onto your neck then your muscles can go into spasm and challenge your emotional state.

Your challenge today is to maintain equanimity. To maintain a calm demeanor. Whilst you stay calm and centered then people around you can pick up on that energy and stay calm, otherwise there will risings of tensions and full scale head to heads. Lets spread the calm in the same way that tension can be spread. Today visualize, just for a few minutes a wave of loving kindness and peace and calm spreading out from your heart to the globe. If you can visualize the web of a spider - a thin gossamer web moving out from you to the rest of the sentient beings on this planet.
