Well what an amusing day yesterday. I found myself driving up to Launceston (200kms away) for the TEDx Tasmania event only to find they had locked the doors on us and we could not get in. This meant that a tiger and a monkey traveled 400 kms to have a conversation in a cafe for 1 hour and then traveled back again! All this on a pig day!

Today we have yang metal sitting over the Rat. The rat is water and clashes with the horse (which is fire). The horse and the tiger are still part of the frame of fire so it does mean that the clash is less severe as the horse is 'otherwise engaged'. We have no resource but very strong emperor of the day. As this strength comes from the visible world (the stems) it is visibly strong, but perhaps we could say there is not a lot of substance to the emperor. It is possible that the harshness of the yang metal is unyielding and unwilling to be molded or modified. 

The day masters that will find benefit from the day are Yang water, Yang fire and if you are strong yang earth day master. Yang metal is not very well resourced so can lack wisdom and self reflective capability today. Yang wood is very well resourced and has good output but no wealth and is being controlled excessively by the yang metal in the day. You may find your mind too active, rushing around from one subject to another.

The hexagram for today is Kun - exhausting. We have lake over water. Alfred Huang says 'In an exhausting situation, one must still seek prosperity and smoothness and remain steadfast and upright.'

Your challenge today is to do that - remain steadfast and true. Whatever the adversity, whatever the difficulty stay on the true path. No matter what the circumstances we do have an inner beacon, an inner guide and we can self correct with ease. This does not mean that self correction is without emotional difficulty but it is this true light on which we can rely..
