Nurture the liver today

Vicki Sauvage - Thursday, July 22, 2010

Thursday 22nd July is a yin water rooster day. The rooster is metal and metal feeds or supplies water.

We have two yin waters sitting next to a yang metal. It is difficult for the yang metal to support the yin water because of the polarity difference.

In the branches (the animal signs) we have a rooster, a sheep and a tiger. None are in conflict with each other but in terms of their elements then the tiger is able to irritate the sheep but because of polarity differences it is not significant.

The rooster is a Tao Hua – if you are a rat, dragon or monkey your romance direction is active today. If you are in the market for romance then look to the direction of the rooster (due west). Look critically to the objects that you have in that direction. Your point of reference is the centre of the house. Are the images supportive of a relationship or do they challenge a relationship? Are they about solitude and isolation or are they about supportive, loving and nurturing things? Do an audit. Reproduction of these images abound but when we examine them carefully we see they are not images of healthy relationships at all. If you want more support in this area then do contact me.

The flow of qi is mutually supportive today. All the stations are present in the yin flow. There are still some yang stations filled but, as the emperor of the day is yin water this it the starting point for the analysis.

The weakest element today is yin wood. Yin wood is the liver, the liver controls many body functions and is the largest organ in the body. The liver also controls the eye – the emotional states associated with poor liver function are anger, rage, guilt especially turned inwards. If these states are familiar then please get some Chinese Herbal support and acupuncture – the quickest way to restore liver function is using TCM.

Your challenge today is to look at your inner world – to turn your eye inwards. What do you see. Look at your liver – is it healthy, are you nurturing old self hatred and criticism. Look carefully at your old patterns and see what, when you shine the light of loving kindness on yourself, what can you let go of. What can you eliminate. Obviously if you have a long standing practice of self criticism and self censure it is not so easy to go within once and throw these things away – how about getting someone to help you with this.
