Friday 23^rd of July is the yang wood dog day. The dog is yang earth with metal and fire hidden inside.

The emperor is challenged today by the yang metal on the year stem. Yang metal is the axe, the sword and the yang wood represents a forest of big trees growing strongly upwards. The axe, can fell a tree (with effort of course).

When we put all the elements present in today's chart we can see a mostly harmonious cycle. The emperor is yang wood, yang wood is drained by producing out in the cycle, wealth is present to moderate the fire, strong power is present BUT no resource. The Yang fire can control the yang metal some but is not controlled in the absence of yang water therefore the day master appears to be under pressure today.

When we look to the branches we see that the dog makes a strong liaison with the tiger forming the half frame of fire, in the hour of the horse (1100 – 1300) the complete frame of fire is present. Now the fire is able to moderate the metal BUT with no water the fire merely drains the day emperor! We are back to our original assertion. Yang wood is under pressure today!

The clash today is to the dragon. Just because there is a clash to your animal sign does not mean that it is going to be hardship. Sometimes it can release very useful energy for your daily life. Do not be afraid just be prepared.

Yang wood governs the gall bladder. The Gall bladder is responsible for the break down of fats and toxins. The gall bladder meridian exits at the outer aspect of the eye and is responsible for looking outwards.

Your challenge today is to practice tolerance and forgiveness. As the eye looks outwards then turn your eye to the world – thank someone for the lesson you have received no matter how difficult and apparently harmful it was. We need lessons to help us grow otherwise we would not be on this earthly journey.
