I do hope all you lovely tigers were happy with yesterday's energy! Double tiger energy - I found I was early (up to one hour) for all my appointments yesterday! So there was a lot of filling in time, and because I was early for one of my appointments I found myself in a bookshop and just had to buy Sir Ken Robinson's book The Element, How finding your passion changes everything. More on that in my next newsletter!

As some of my clients are born in the year of the snake and have found the last weeks and particularly the start of the horse month a challenge here is a little bit of an explanation for you.

The year is a metal tiger (metal over wood). Metal controls wood (is power to wood). The snake month was yin metal over yang fire (one of the paradoxical months). Fire controls metal (is zhuen guang to yin metal). The month of the horse is yang water over yin fire (is Qi sha to fire). In addition the snake is in a 2nd degree clash with the tiger and the tiger and the snake make 2/3rds of a very unfavourable combination called the fire penalty. On all levels the last month and this month has been a challenge. This too shall pass - so the way to navigate this territory is to understand that these are merely environmental forces and you do not have to be buffeted by these forces. If you stay true to your own internal navigation forces then you will not founder. Do, however, notice the forces, do take the action that you need to avoiding the known hazards. That's what the navigational charts are for. don't accept responsibility for the things that belong to the greater pattern of qi other than how that manifests in your life, in your own domain. For those of you used to carrying large burdens - put them down!

Today we have yin metal sitting over the rabbit which is wood (a controlling pattern). The rabbit is not in clash with anyone or anything preferring the warmth of his burrow - when in familiar territory they just post one sentinel to stand guard and the rest, when out in the open are blithely unaware of danger unless it is communicated to them by the one on duty.

The rabbit is a tao hua (a peach blossom) so romance is in the air for the showy horsey, the circumspect tiger and the friendly doggy. If you are looking for romance this is definitely a favorable time.

The challenge for today is to continue to nurture the heart of forgiveness, sweetness and faith - faith can dispel worry and pensiveness. The earth is missing in today's chart so you can find yourself acting impulsively - depending on where earth is positioned in your chart.
