Today is the 12th of July. Did you catch the solar eclipse this morning? It will of course be in the afternoon in Rio de Janeiro! This morning in Hobart I noticed that the sun did not get up when it does usually, I also noticed a difference in the colour of the clouds - a much quieter red/pink. Whilst talking about the sky - have you noticed mercury and venus in the northwestern sky?

In the Chinese metaphysical system called the four pillars of destiny we have yin water sitting over the pig (which is yang water). We have very strong yin water as the day master, we have wood as output or personal endeavor, we have fire as wealth (not so strong today), yin earth as power (strong enough to be effective), and resource is better favoured to a yang water day master.

The pig is a travel sign as is the tiger. The pig also makes a liaison with the the sheep in the month to form the partial frame of wood and at 1300 - 1500 the frame is complete. Wood is output today so it favours study, the advancement of career - it must also interact positively with your personal chart to be effective for you.

The weakest element today is yang earth, being attacked by the strong wood and depleted by the strong metal. This means pressure on the stomach channel. The emotional states that threaten this meridian are obsessive worry and a kind of pensiveness - not worry, not melancholy but an introversion and sense of gloom.

The greatest wealth opportunities are for the yang fire day master and the yang metal day master. However the yang fire day master must have good personal power and resource otherwise the ability to follow through will be affected. The yang metal day master has enough environmental power to draw on but must have personal resource to be effective. Remember, when you are successful in the realm of money that you should give back a proportion to charity to keep the cycle going. If everyone draws from that energy cycle without giving back is probably going to affect their health. Wealth without health is meaningless.

Your challenge today is to look at your personal finances and see how much you could give to any charitable organisation today. Even two dollars is something.
