Two tigers prowling through the jungle

Vicki Sauvage - Monday, June 21, 2010
Run run run as fast as you can it is not the little ginger bread man but the two tigers flanking the horse today. The tiger is speed, it can be cautious never really visible in the jungle only fleeting movements amongst the trees. Crouching low in the undergrowth. One of our tigers today is a water tiger and one is a metal tiger, surrounding the water horse. Won't he be able to flash his tail, flirting with the two tigers.

As you remember the tiger and the horse make 2/3rds of the fire frame and in the hour of the dog this is complete. Fire is in the position of wealth today. This means, even though the emperor of the day is yang water the strongest energy of the day is the tendency to fire (wealth).

The emperor is very strong today so we can expect to see some explosions as the fire and the water face off against each other.

There is sufficient wood to strengthen the fire BUT with no earth in the chart there is ineffectiveness, the wealth cannot be productive.

The weakest element today is yang earth. It is absent from the circuit and brings the stomach under pressure. I just want to quote from a paper by David Feinstein from 2001. 'The reactive emotions or themes for the stomach meridian is obsessive worry. The balancing emotion or theme is trust in the larger picture. Sample affirmations I let go of worry. I trust the process / universe. The stomach is the source of the body's energies'.

The Qi gong exercise which helps counter this is the Bear. In the bear you bring your finger tips together in a rounded form. They then tuck up under your rib cage an you wind in a circle three times clockwise then three times anticlockwise. When this part of the exercise is complete you move to the second part which is standing with legs shoulder width apart. Rolling from the shoulder you move your whole flank forward and backwards three times, then with the movement initiated from the hip you lift the whole of the leg at the same time and place it firmly on the ground slightly ahead of you. You repeat this 3 times on first the right then the left side. This is one of the few moves which starts from the right.

For those of you interested in it I will be commencing teaching Qi Gong 5 animals for health from 201 Davey St in the first weeks of July. There will be two classes Wednesdays 08.30am to 09.15 and 5.30pm to 6.15 pm. It is a very simple series to learn but very powerful. Details available soon.

Your challenge today is to keep the faith and trust in the universal order and that you do not have to control the universe. You can drop your burdens and drop your anxiety. Now reach out and connect with one new person today. Offer them solace and compassion. When we move out of our own self concerns and look to the benefit of others we are able to truly flourish as human beings.
