Saturday 15th of May

Today is a yin wood ox day. Oxen standing in open fields which are heavy with grasses, bushes and in the distance a stand of bamboo. The Qi is starting to ascend, it the time after greater yin and this cycle is beginning to gather the energy of growth to it. The seeds (your ideas) are sprouting and the growth associated with spring will soon be upon us. Friday was the new moon and the new moon signifies the beginning of ideas and energies.

The strongest energy is the yang fire, although the yin and yang metal are well represented. It is a time for action, particularly with the tendency towards forming metal between the two branches ox and snake. In the hour of the rooster this inclination is very strong. Too much metal, particularly int he position of power can be detrimental. It is not really a problem as the rooster is in void so the energy is less pressing or has some of the wind taken out of its sails.

The weakest element is the yang earth followed by the yin earth.

Sunday 16th of May

What a strong, bounding day it will be. We have a yang fire tiger day. The two tigers are more than a match for the snake. It does mean that with 3 traveling signs it is quite likely that people will be on the move this weekend - taking a weekend drive or being called away on business or pleasure. Watch out for trains and planes today!

We have an interesting energy amongst the stems today - we have the yin metal of the month combining with the yang fire to form a yuan of water! Yuan energy is very interesting and as it is water I believe there will be an emphasis on communication, philosophical discourse and reflections and a bit of passion thrown in with the yang fire. Could be competition between people who love / or addicted to the limelight. If only people realized we each have a bright light which shines upon each and everyone of us and we must smile upon each other to brighten that light for each other.

The strongest element today is yang fire, the weakest element is earth. Be kind an generous to others and yourself this weekend and lighten the burden for others. Remember that the remedy of the month is humility - reflect upon those qualities and see if you can radiate this qi out towards the sun so it can be reflected back to earth again and provide a blessing for everyone.
